Eight-Channel HDMI HD Encoder
HS-5508-HD

The 8-Channel HDMI HD Encoder supports 8 HDMI HD signal inputs. It encodes these signals using H.264 video and MPEG-1 audio codecs to generate either a TS multiplexed stream or 8 independent IP streams (8xSPTS) in TS over UDP format. This device is primarily used for HD signal broadcasting in digital TV headend live systems and for encoding implementation in IPTV live systems.

Multi-channel Signal Acquisition and Encoding
Supports simultaneous input of up to 4 high-definition video signals, including common interface types such as HDMI, SDI, and CVBS. These analog or digital signals are then converted into mainstream compressed digital formats like H.264 and H.265 (HEVC). This process significantly reduces video data volume while maintaining video quality, facilitating efficient transmission and storage.

Support for multiple encoding formats
In addition to mainstream H.264 and H.265, some high-end models also support encoding formats like MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 to accommodate different application scenarios and device compatibility requirements. For instance, H.265 can save approximately 50% bandwidth compared to H.264 while maintaining equivalent image quality, making it more suitable for bandwidth-constrained network environments.

Resolution Adaptation
Supports resolution adjustment for input video signals, enabling the unified encoding of input signals with different resolutions into output signals of a specified resolution, such as 1080P or 720P, to meet the requirements of various display devices or transmission platforms.

Frame rate control
The frame rate of videos can be adjusted. Common frame rates include 25fps, 30fps, 60fps, etc. Select an appropriate frame rate based on actual requirements to balance bandwidth usage while ensuring video smoothness.

Picture Quality Adjustment
Features adjustable parameters such as brightness, contrast, and saturation to optimize video picture quality, ensuring the output video better meets viewing requirements.

Support for multiple network protocols
Supports multiple network transmission protocols including RTSP, RTMP, HTTP, HLS, and UDP, enabling the transmission of encoded video signals over local area networks or the internet to various receiving devices such as monitors in monitoring centers, mobile phones, and computers.

Adaptive Bitrate Adjustment
Certain models feature adaptive bitrate functionality, automatically adjusting video encoding bitrates based on network bandwidth fluctuations. This ensures smooth video transmission even during unstable network conditions, preventing issues like stuttering or pixelation.

Typically equipped with a web management interface, users can log in to the device via a browser to perform parameter configuration, status monitoring, firmware upgrades, and other operations, offering simple and convenient operation.
